It’s race week and we are working out last minute details for our SanLori Team. I’ve been busy writing an email to my fellow team members, discussing our team T-shirts, our pre-race meeting and the party we are hosting afterward. All caught up in the details, I was quickly brought down to earth when Sandra forwarded me a blog from one of the co-chairs of communication for this year’s Race for the Cure in Little Rock. It’s so easy to take your eye off the ball, isn’t it? After reading her blog,(Mabelshouse) my focus promptly returned. It isn’t someone way out in lower disturbia, who needs our help. It’s our family, our friends and our neighbors. The title of the blog is, “Race for the Cure. This One is Personal.” For everyone in the race, (or not)…I encourage you to read this along with the Survivor Spotlight featuring the stories of so many that have lived this battle with cancer. If you don’t know a cancer survivor personally, you will feel like you do after reading some of these stories.
We can all do something. Take the first step today.
